A Journey together
Hello there!
Whether you're a native Finn or a foreigner, join me as we explore the Finnish education system and learn how to navigate it together!
I'm a mother who knows what it's like to feel lost and frustrated in the Finnish education system, and that's why I created this blog. When my child started daycare, I felt lost because I didn't speak Finnish fluently. However, as my child progressed to pre-school, I realised that even good Finnish speakers, both native and foreigners, can also feel lost and frustrated.
I started this blog to share my experiences and reach out to other parents who feel like me. I know how it feels to expect to access a community of parents when your child starts school, but only to find that many parents only interact on an individual basis with each other and with the daycare or school.
Through this blog, I want to create a community for parents to connect, share their experiences, and find support. My aim with this blog is also to provide a platform for them to have a voice in the ongoing debates around education in Finland. I want to encourage readers to engage in discussions, share their opinions, and feel empowered to advocate for their children's education.
I believe that by sharing our experiences and engaging in these discussions, we can contribute to making the Finnish education system even better. Whether you have questions, opinions, or simply want to connect with other parents, I hope this blog can be a space for you to do so.
So, let's come together and share our voices!
